The great vintage revival seems to go from strength to strength and if the North West seaside town of Morecambe was anything to go by on Sunday 4th September 2016 it is continuing because Morecambe was crowded!
The promenade around the Midland Hotel and along the stone jetty was throng with people of all ages walking along, laughing and having a thoroughly grand day out. Some were adorned in period clothes from the roaring twenties up to the swinging sixties and beyond!
Art and entertainment of all kinds was enjoyed in the warm early Autumn sunshine, classic cars from all ages were exhibited in all their pristine glory for the crowds to enjoy.
Marquee's packed full of vintage clothes and household items the traders were in full swing selling their goods to eager buyer's I have to admit I even was drawn into trying on some lovely vintage waistcoats but unfortunately not in my size!
I wonder what draws us in such numbers to all things vintage, is it just historical interest and novelty value or are we all craving after a less sophisticated time, no iphone's and no computers, uncomplicated pleasures and more time to relax or are we just looking back with rose tinted spectacles!
Rose tinted glasses I would suspect!!??
Very colourful, looks like a lovely day out, Vintage is very " in" at the moment!
